Prepare to hike through ancient lava rock formations that bear witness to the volatile volcanic activity that once shaped this extraordinary region. At the end of the 3-km trail, you’ll reach the closest and safest possible point to the volcano, where you’ll have stunning views of the volcano, Arenal Lagoon, the secondary forest, and areas devastated by past eruptions.
The second stop will be at the impressive La Fortuna Waterfall. We’ll descend through a warm tropical forest that will take you to the base of this incredible 70-meter-high waterfall, where you can enjoy its crystal-clear waters, take a light dip, and take the best photos.
We’ll have lunch and then immerse ourselves in the Hanging Bridges. We’ll walk along a 3-km trail through the forest and over elevated bridges above the treetops. We’ll explore 15 impressive hanging and stationary bridges where you’ll be surrounded by vibrant flora and fauna, creating an unparalleled immersive experience. Admire Costa Rica’s rich biodiversity, from colorful birds dancing in the air to curious monkeys gracefully swinging through the branches.
