Along the way, you’ll cross six incredible hanging bridges and ten solid fixed bridges, giving you stunning views of the jungle from every angle.

Take your time exploring! Stop by the Rufus Hummingbird Garden to watch these tiny birds zip around, and don’t miss the Blue Morpho Waterfall, a peaceful spot to admire nature’s beauty.

If you want a shorter walk, you can take the 1.5 km (0.9-mile) route,or if you need wheelchair access, there’s a 250-meter (820 ft) trail designed for assisted mobility. Either way, you’ll enjoy a relaxing, unforgettable journey of discovery and adventure!

Caño Negro River Wildlife Adventure

Unique Caño Negro is an experience that blends nature, culture, and Costa Rican tradition. Located next to the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, it offers the perfect opportunity to explore the area’s unique biodiversity.

The journey begins with a scenic drive through rural landscapes and traditional plantations in San Carlos and Los Chiles, leading to the ‘El Caimán’ restaurant, where the adventure starts with a

refreshing snack and a boat tour along the Río Frío. During this two-hour tour, nature will amaze you at every turn: exotic birds flying overhead, howler and white-faced monkeys

moving through the trees, iguanas basking in the sun, and caimans resting along the shore. If you’re lucky, you might even spot the rare orange howler monkey, a hidden gem of Caño Negro.
